Single setup

After my ETEC 90 twins on my SR6 were stolen I have little hope to get 2 identical 90's to get back on the water .
Loved a lot the twin setup but seems I'll convert to a single motor .
Have an ETEC 200hp small block in mind .
Can somebody advice what the center offset at the stern should be for the single installation ?
Thanks in advance !Click image for larger version

I'd fit it central, the trend of fitting offset seems to have fallen by the wayside in favour of central mounting nowadays. I'd find another option than an etec unless its seriously cheap, there not ageing well & parts availability & backup will only get worse as time goes on. Better options out there now imho

Thanks for feedback !
Center mount could be an option but before I drill 4 new holes I want to make sure I've checked what would be the best to do .
I know that people have their opinion about ETECs and as a matter of fact parts are and will be a question in future.
I owned 5 ETECs from 90hp to 250hp H.O. and know them quite well - but thats not topic of the question here .

Hi ,I have Gemini wr650 which has been rigged with engine to port ,i have researched why and by how much and my general understanding is the thoughts are 1 inch per 100 hp therefore for my 140 it is a 1.4"to port ............i must admit i hate things off centre and it wont even load on the trailer straight !.
So thinking i would get it moved to the centre but my worries were why is it there and is it neccesary ?? ( my helm is to port as well ) so sent me on a voyage of discovery )
My answers were ......."its an old fashioned thing they used to do on Fletcher sports boats to stop them falling off the chines (chine walking )
Obviously theres the prop torque argument which few seem to be able to quantify !
what about the side of the helm ?,surely 18 stone must come into the equation somewhere !
Then theres the argument you can offset with the weight of an auxilary ?
Just a few thoughts for you , my boat runs perfect offset however trailer loading annoys me enough to want to get centralised but i cant find a rigger who is giving any clues from the outcome of centralising

Remember a single will need to be sat lower down the transom than twins, before you drill measure the height & check. If the boat was built for twins, its possible the transom will be a little too high for a single

My SR6 is a trailer boat but about issues with trailer loading I never thought off .
Had a Vipermax 7.2 with an offset ETEC G2 250 but never noticed any issue .
Engine height before drilling is also good argument .
I intended not to measure but to check with the motor hanging on the crane at the stern to see how it sits .

After talking to a friend who has spent his life with offshore racing I follow his advice and install the outboard at the center of the hull .
The balance will be achieved with locating battery / oil tank , tools and others accordingly

Still waiting for feedback from them .
The trouble is it's nearly impossible to find to identical 90hp ETECs .
At least the should be the same year of manufacturing.
Not too many outboards I would consider on the market today.

All I can expect from them is to compensate the financial loss for the 2 ETECs .
I would go for new motors but they are not produced anymore.
So only option is second hand .. and 2 identical motors as mentioned hard to find .
Monitor already since spring the market in Germany and Netherlands with no success

The insurance will cover the supply and installation of the motors returning the craft to its condition 5 mins prior to the theft / incident.
