Size of engine for S370NL and with or with our powertrim?

I am a new Rib owner . I have just purchased a Grand Rib Silver S370NL year 2005.
The plan with the Rib is to use it for water sport with my teenagers, pulling a tube or water ski. 3 persons in the Rib when pulling a tube.

Question 1:
The Rib is approved to max 40 HP but recommended to 30 HP for the year 2005 model. I can see in data sheets that newer version is only approved to max 30 HP. Would it be ok to go for the 40 HP engine?

I am looking for 2 strokes engines.

Question 2:
I have been looking at a 40 HP Tohatsu 2 stroke M40D2 year 2006, one with power trim and one without. Is there a need for power trim on my Rib?
The prices are almost the same, but if no need, I would take the simple motor with out power trim, then there are less components that can cause issues.

I am looking forward for your feedback.

For the same money I would go for power trim and tilt especially to pull toys you will get the best out of it. If it's plated for 40 hp I would go for it the extra 10 hp might be needed as you teenagers get older.

Your probably going to struggle pulling a skier with a 40 and 3 persons onboard unless it's a very shallow v or very light passengers it will struggle with hole shot so I doubt you'd manage with a 30,maybe OK with a Ringo
