I can't see from your photo (And some didn't upload) if your bracket is different to this one. If it is it looks as though you are on to something. Also which site were you on??

I just did a search and tried about 20 results or so. I think one of the sites was "iboats". Most of the results though seem to mention 1969 4hp folding and any pics of earlier modes have the flat cowling. Thanks again

On eBay at the moment is this item, it's number is 321318586330, look in the background, I think that's an immaculate 4 hp lid. It would set yours off really well if it is!!

I do have a friend who prints decals for me, so all I really need to do is give it a good sanding and spray job and it will look like that.
