Smartcraft Gauges for twin 115 Opti Install

Morning all, would appreciate some thoughts.

Have a new boat on order which will be fitted with a brace of Optimax 115s.

Currently the basic system monitor gauges are specified, with separate, non-integrated, fuel gauges for the twin tanks.

Looking around, the tart in me would like to upgrade to the "SC1000 System Tachometer / Speedometer" gauges (one speedo, 2 tachs) but have been quoted £865.

Can't decide whether the extra features really justify the cost.

Do analogue sc100 system link tachos exist, and could I hook those up to the basic digital system monitor gauges?

Does anyone know a smartcraft guru I could call to try to get my head around the options available?

Ta

David

The SC1000 price will probably be plus VAT, they are quite dear! A friend of mine has one that he might sell (still in the box), and they work well although can be tricky to read in some light. Those are your options although you will only need to use one speedo. We had an SC1000 on an Optimax 225 on a BananaShark 770 and it looked good and gave a lot more information that the SC100 system - it also integrated with the GPS giving you a heading to the next waypoint and other stuff - very easy to fit and set up, and it can be linked to more than one fuel tank and both oil tanks.

Hope that helps, my contact details are on the website if you want more help.
