Yes but will it get you on the plane... and will the Mrs take her turn without grumbling?

That's actually quite impressive. I wonder how long you could keep winding though, before losing the will to live...

Well yes that's why I though the Mrs has to take her turn.

now i would have been seriously impressed if it had a prop instead of the handle and powered by the wind then the wife would only have to steer

knowing how flippin' difficult it is to row a sib I have the feeling that could be in chocolate teapot territory.

I'd be happy to be proved wrong, but I have tried rowing a redstart into a headwind.....

Dam straight mate. I rowed a Mk 3 GR 7 miles with no breeze or sea in my direction, burned through a pair of leather gloves and a gal of water.

Cheers

Whilst out in the bay this weekend noticed a guy messing about with one of these on his yacht tender. Motored over, got chatting and he kindly let me bolt it on my boat (Aerotec) to try out. Amazingly it worked, OK there was only a light breeze, but it powered along better than a pair of oars / paddles. Prop easily unbolts so, while not small, will store fairly flat. If mounted to one side, with outboard on, need to be mindful prop doesn't foul on sponson cones when turning.
In no way an equal substitute to a small aux. motor, but equally much better than nothing.

Considering it was classed as an Aux....I reckon that would entirely depend on the "Incentive"
....Nothing like a burst of adrenaline in a tight spot!
