Spray

Okay guys just changed my prop from a 3 blade to 4 blade but I am now getting spray from the port tube and it is hitting my engine. The four blade has defo lifted the rear of the boat. Do you think moving my seat further aft would help ?

Now you’ve got stern lift, you may need to drop the engine.

Cheers Dave I think I am on the top mount hole. I do have a doelfin on and can see that it is just above the water when running.

Do you have the doelfin fitted for a specific reason? The Doelfin may be the problem.

Only fitted it cause I had it 🤣🤣, never did it with the 3 blade but the spray is defo arching up from the port tube. I will remove this and see if it makes a difference first. Cheers for your reply bud.

I would recommend starting on dry land to find out what height the engine is at compared to the hull. The cavitation plate should be just above the bottom of the transom.

Also what happens if you trim it up?

The outboard boats I have owned benefited from installing a hydrofoil on the outboard for what I use the boats for. This will be boat and use dependent.

I am about an inch above all was fine before I changed to the 4 blade prop. I have removed the hydrofoil meantime but the forecast is not good for the next week. Will keep you guys posted and thanks for the replies

As a start, I’d try it without the Doelfin, it’s the easiest thing to try for starters.
