Steering heavy to port under load?? - Mariner 90hp

What would make the steering heavy to port under load? Its fine at low speed & free out of the water. But get some speed up & it becomes really heavy, fin.e to starboard

I'm assuming its a tiller bearing or similar causing issues? Engine is a Mercury 90hp 3cyl two stroke late 90's Vintage on a 5m boat.

Try adjusting the trim tab? I think you're fighting prop torque.

Having done some googling I think you may be right, I had been fiddling with the tab to see if it would adjust the lean at speed (it made no difference)

Shall have the spanner ready at the next event

Trim tab wont make any difference the trim tab just helps if the boat steers off to one side. It will be the torque from the engine making it harder to turn to port. The only option is to put either a no feed back steering system on or hydraulic steering.
