suzi engine no! year biult.
Hi. guys, does anyone know how to tell year of engine, on a suzi 115 4 stroker. thanks in advance,

Ill have to wait untill i go back to the boat i cant remember all of it, the fist bit is still in my mind but not the end bit ,i think it was df11501/25?????

Needs all of it-if you look on Brownspoint it'll give you the age from the serial number.

Thanks nos42, i now know the year thanks for that, that now calls for another question? is it woth buying a 8 year old engine, are they reliable at that age, or would u go for a younger engine, doesnt look very old to look at though,looks well looked after,advice would be good cheers.....

Been to boat and turned on ignition, and the needle only went up to the first mark ,,,, tenth, then dropped down did it everytime the same so dont no how accurate gauge reads. but engine looks in very good fettle starts easy and sounds great no smoke or anything........ so if the needle is under the one does that mean that it has done less than 100 hours, or are the tachos known to read wrong ...i spose i worry too much.... cheers ,regards

Need to make sure the Rev limit lamp does not flash as well ! otherwise ciuld be alot more hours, and they are defeatqble any way so not always a guarantee!

Thanks for that info now is all clear . the needle goes up to 100 revs then drops. no flashing of the limit light at all .. in fairness the owner did say it hasnt been used a lot . but we never beleive that do we in this case he may have been telling the truth,it does run really well. anyway ive bought it now. thanks for all the replys .. Happy days.

HI well theres no flashing lights at all, so maybe im lucky and bought a motor with low engine hours. well see. happy days!.
