Suzuki 4 stroke 115hp

Our engine has a warning beep that does not stop, stops ticking over when idle and the fuel pump ball is always soft, it runs great just constant beeping. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Are you saying the engine dies at idle or the beeping stops at idle?

Does the alarm sound when just the ignition on or only when engine is running?

Does it have fault codes? Do you know how to check for fault codes?

Thank you for replying

It beeps as normal for starting then it beeps every 5 seconds after that and does not stop when travelling.

It sometimes cuts out when in neutral and ticking over, when underpower it runs perfect though the fuel ball is soft and the beeping continues every 5 seconds giving only one beep then quiet for 5 seconds then beeps, same pattern throughout the journey.

I’d disregard the fuel bulb for now, if the engine runs well when you are on full chat but it’s still beeping I’d say it’s a red herring and nothing to do with fuel.

Do you have a chart plotter or fish finder on board that can give you a voltage reading with engine running? How long has this been happening? I have a vague recollection of a single beep being a voltage/battery/alternator issue.
