suzuki DF50 2010 tell tale question

hi I have just bought a Suzuki DF50 2010 with very low hours, the tell tale is working fine but I have noticed another hole directly below the tell tale that that puffs steam, is this correct or should water come out of this hole also?! when I water tested yesterday I could swear I could hear beeping from the inner consule behind the suzuki instruments but no lights on the dash, might be my imagination as it was quite windy and noisy.

My DF200 has an exhaust relief vent above the water line. This allows out the exhaust if the back pressure of the water is too great for venting through the prop hub. After a long run it smokes a bit from this vent. I imagine there would be something similar on a DF50.

thanks with further investigation at tickover the exhaust seems to come out of this hole, no bubbles from the prop, then the exhaust comes out of the prop when in gear, it sounds ok.
