Having some problems with the install of a new Suzuki 175 from an independent dealer. Contacted Suzuki UK today who were very helpful, we shall see how this pans out.
Quoted 2 week delivery time.
Called dealer after 3 weeks for an update to be told due in soon.
Engine shipped to dealer a week later as I had seen it in the workshop, confirmed delivery to book in fitting, advised awaiting a propellor before fitting can commence due to being able to raise in invoice.
A week later confirmed propeller had arrived but was unable to book in as they had some other jobs on.
Emailed dealer to confirm when fitting would take place, advised the following week on the Monday. Delivered boat to dealer over the weekend ready for the Monday morning. Checked every day and engine partially (3 bolts) mounted on the Friday.
A week later and side mount and surface mount (with drilled holes behind) gauge/ key fitted, no fuel lines, battery cables etc.
Today I was advised it ‘may’ be ready for next weekend if they can fit it in. They did offer to remove the engine but I will only get a refund if they can sell the motor.
Excuses offered from rain, other jobs, should of booked in the winter for a new engine, propellor was not here (still not fitted) and would not pass over when I offered to remove the boat as is.
Paid a £7000+ deposit and the balance £7000+ before fitting commenced as the invoice was raised prior to fitting with 14 day terms.
Any advice appreciated.
