Symbol on fuel management guage

One of the problems with sharing the boat... is that there are only one set of manuals... and as such, the boat always seems to have issues when you dont have the manuals!

I have had a symbol come up on the fuel management guage, but I am not sure what it is - I have checked oil in both engines, and they both seem fine... I have attached a picture of the guage I have, along with a rough sketch of what the symbol looks like... it flashes in the bottom left all the time the engine is on.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Ben, we don't have this gauge so what I'm saying is purely a guess but could it be a warning to do with the fuel/water separator? A little bit of Googling has led me to this information:

"FUEL MANAGEMENT GAUGE monitors: Fuel consumption / Fuel economy (using speedometer or GPS input for readings) / Fuel contamination (when Yamaha deluxe Fuel/Water Separator is used) For dual engine installations an engine synchroniser is included"

How about ringing a Yamaha dealer to ask their advice: BHG or Kevin Mole?

Hi Ben. Richard just had the bright idea of looking in our Yamaha manual and sure enough it's in there! And it is the "Water separator warning indicator (operates only if the sensor has been installed)". It goes on to say:

"If the water which has been separated from fuel in the water trap exceeds a specific volume, the indicator will blink showing the need for water to be drained. NOTE: This indicator only operates when a water separator sensor is equipped".

If draining the bowls hasn't helped, maybe there's a problem with the sensor?
