Which side Mick? Feel for you as well mate mine was still under warranty so no charge. If you have a gap between the engine mount and the top of the transom make sure you block it with a piece of hard plastic strip.
I will take a pic of mine and post it later.

Broke on the starboard side. There is not much mention of broken saddles on this size of out board

Feck me same side as mine then 😣
If your outboard is raised leaving a gap between the transom when you get it fixed make sure that you put a block between it to strengthen it....like mine in the pics.....

TSM, do you want me to change this thread title to "Spontaneous Etec Disintegration"?
The Curse of Kerny is a different thing...

This failure begs the question what caused the failure. Bad driving? Bad design? Poor materials? Raising the engine by one bolt hole and as a result the engine is not sitting on the transom? Driving too hard sea when the wind was first 24 _ 27 kn?
How do I prevent such a failure again? (Don't say leave the rib in the shed.

IMO by having your engine unsupported from the last point on the transom face you have a fulcrum from that point. The engine when at power creates tremendous pressure pushing at the transom, over time it will create fatigue it's cast alloy after all and isn't good in shock scenarios such as you have there.
I feel for you though mick hope you get sorted.
Cheers
