Is it just us or have you noticed more thefts of engines during the bad winds/ snow etc.
Oh and just so that you can all laugh this includes one of our own engines that was on a wee test boat. lucky for us it was it was a small tohatsu

Dont think you'll find anyone here doing that ? I would doubt its to do with the coldness .. IMO jhonny ratbag doesent like inclement weather and would rather be in his bed all day/night .. its probably more to do with the recession, and anything that isnt tied down and locked, is fair game to them
Actually I think there is a connection and I think it's to do with covering noise,also wet windows might be thought of as harder to see out for the victim.
Alternatively, drive down the M8 - you will find the engine amongst a pile of broken conservatory roofs, ridge tiles and fence panels somewhere near Granton!
