Tiller extension, Thundercat, Plans?

Hello
- looking for a good design/ a drawing to build a tiller extension for a Tohatsu 50 on a Thundercat. I see a lot of nice-looking products for sale, but as they are not as cheap as I would have preferred and as I do have access to a guy with a mill who owes me a favors I would like to have one made - so, If I can find a drawing/design, he can mill it, weld it -or whatever near black magic he uses. Thanks for your input.

The style I had on my old one was fairly simple, think it's the cheapest to buy too. Ask the guys at thundercat racing, they should have some old ones kicking about

I'm slowly leaning toward the buy-option. I see the point - only challenge i that here are VERY few thundercats in Denmark- not to mention even fewer racers. I'll see what I can find.

why not cut through the tiller arm, put in the required length space, weld it all together same with the (i think its a rod), or new longer cables. that way you keep the costs down , by using the ends. good luck
