Tohatsu 2.5hp Fuel cock
I have been given a +/- year old Tohatsu 2.5hp outboard.
The fuel cock lever had snapped off.
I ordered a new one from St.Maarten (60 miles north of here).
It was a cinch to replace it (except for some corrosion) and I now have a running outboard for a US$20.00 outlay.
The Dealer said that the sell lots of them.
Is it because Tohatsu make them weak because they want to keep customers unhappy and having to keep buying them (to make more money)? I don't think they really do.
However if, or since, this is so why don't Tohatsu make a stronger fuel cock?
Have others had a similar experiences?
