Im concidering buying this

engine on ebay but the seller doesn't know the age or engine hours.
Im trying to get the model and serial number from him in the hope I can determine the engines age at least. Would this be possible and more to the point, would you concider this too risky.

it looks like it has been tarted up (badly) ready for sale.

the important thing is what is the compression like and the service history, the rest of it wouldn't really bother me. you would be very hard pushed to find hours on a small motor like that.

my personal opinion is it is overpriced a little and i would hold off. If you can knock a chunk off it i'd consider it.

check out the yam 25 on SMN.....same money but with a 6 month warranty.
