Tohatsu 9.8 2 Stroke Short Shaft Query

Hi, can anyone that's got a Tohatsu 9.8 2 stroke short shaft actually confirm the shaft length for me please? Google is giving me contradictory answers, some say 15" and some say 17".

Approx 435mm or 17 and 1/8th inches.

Thanks for getting there first Chipko… if no-one had replied I was going to measure mine but it’s right at the back of the garage now in its winter theft discouragement hidden position so a bit of a faff to get to.

Thanks both. 17 and 1/8th inches is much better for me than 15 inches would have been.
