Tohatsu M60/70 tilt lock

So I've noticed the alloy Allen-head screw bolt has sheared off on my Tohatsu. The tilt lever rests on this when in the raised leg position. I arrived on the west coast on Monday after 200 mile drive so roads aren't in great condition so have probably hit a hole somewhere on route and it's knocked it off.

I hate drilling into metal. The trim ram is going to restrict access. Assuming I can devise a way to drill into what's left of the bolt on the saddle, then what? Does this need to be a job for an easy-out tool?

Any tips on particular drill bits to use?

So finally got around to fixing this. Removed top ram bolt and lifted the leg high (what a weight).

Used carbide drill bit, 3.5 - 4mm, applied light oil, lean into drill to apply weight and ran slow to moderate speed.

Used a bolt extractor tool. To be fair it wasn't seized, but pleasantly surprised on success.

New stainless Allen head and nut temporarily until I get new Allen bolt from Tohatsu.
