Tohatsu M60C propeller

I know one or two Ribnet members use this engine and wondered prop-wise what you are running. I've tweaked mine as basically it's a detuned 70hp. Same block and carbs.

I have the original 13.00 x 15 pitch and a second hand 13.25 x 17 pitch, but it has cavitation corrosion, and a tangle with an unmarked creel last season was the finish of it. Both are aluminium props.

The 15 pitch has better holeshot, but the 17 pitch is a great all rounder.

I've considered a Mercury Vengeance 17 pitch propeller in stainless steel but it's expensive and if I make contact with anything it'll strip the gearbox so know the consequences.

Any experience of Mercury Black Max propellers?

The Tohatsu is a 15 spline fit, through hub exhaust. From memory max revs shouldn't exceed 5,500, but I can double check.

Normally run 2-up with 55 litres of fuel and aux engine on a Ribcraft 4.8m.
