Tohatsu MD40/50B TLDI Service Manual...

Hi,

Thought I would ask... Has anyone got a link for a service manual for a 2012 Tohatsu 50hp TLDI engine?

Cheers.

Owners & parts manuals are available, Service manuals are copyrighted, being TLDI the new models, will doubt if there's a link to them, but who knows...

Happy Boating

that is a good engine and the first service by a dealer will be around £40.00 so why ruin the warranty?

I now understand you can only get them from dealers. I have already had my first service thanks, I would just to like to have a copy of the service manual as it will help me to take extra care of my engine and more importantly learn more about it, how it works etc!

Rather than having to pay the dealer I cheekily would have thought someone would have had a pdf/scanned copy?!

Anyone out there? I am sure a lot of people would be grateful!

I'm with Dave on this one. It's a new 2012 engine and it's a TLDi, so there's a fair bit of technology packed in under the cowl. Why risk invalidating the warranty to save a few quid?

Quick scan of Tohatsu's website indicates you get 4 years warranty (read the small print though as to what's covered). Impeller needs changed annually, plus air compressor belt, air filter and fuel filter every 2 years (or 200 hours). If it was a few years old, then fair enough, but this is new engine.

Like I said, I want to be able to learn more about my engine and I know I will probably have it for a good few years (I had my last boat/outboard for over 10 years!) so I may as well get it sooner rather than later!

Don't worry I will make sure my engine gets serviced as it should by a stealer BUT I do still want a service manual and want to know if I can get a free copy on line instead of having to buy one!
