we need pics Tornado's are fairly well respected I think.
does it need a re tube?, one thing about this forum is I am amazed what people manage to renovate/mend!
performance wise what are you using it for, what load, how many people etc

tornado 5.4
thanx just posted some pics !take a look and see what you think ? is it a tornado !!! in my profile>its used mainly for cruising around we are tidal between malden and bradwell we have a few toys for the summer towing when the suns out ! but the dry suit comes out in the winter when im feeling brave !! its all a learning curve with the rib ! plan on changing the consul to a stand up to with just a lean back frame ! any thoughts on that ?

Looks like a 5.3mtr to me? Tornado made a 5.1 and 5.3 which were both the same Hull and a shallow V, up from that came the 5.5 and 5.8 which were the same and with considerably more beam.

shame its true the beam is narrow but it cuts along nice and if im on my own its a dodle launching and getting back in on the trailer on my own ! which is what i like ! i did think maybe to go for sumthing bigger but i think id start to struggle ! the slip i use can be a bit naughty somtimes ! so iv decided to spend a bit on this one as the hull is old but in pretty good shape ! is their a general way to go when setting up a consul ? center forward ect ?

No idea, never looked, usually has 4 or 6 divers on board so never an issue.

I've got 5.8m Tornado (they were designed to fit in a container) she's ex RYA Eastern Support RIB. Got a 80hp Yamaha Auto-lube and she'll sit quite happily at 30knots. Got a mate who had the same one from the RYA which had a 115hp Yamaha on her...
Best boats by far!

mines just 6m overall, with only a 2m beam - i think this is why it goes so well with only a 75 on the back - its like an arrow. it is however underpowered when loaded with people. great deep vee hull easily handles and cushions wave jumping. i too spend all my time driving stood up. i have a well proportioned single console which means that the steering is as easy to use either sat down or stood up.
