Trim tilt gauge,
Hi ,my trim tilt Gauge stopped working, is there a common fault with them?
i cant find a sender, the connections are fine, any help would be welcome.

The lever may be stuck but as Nos said, engine make and size would help....

Yes, there is a common fault. The senders aren't waterproof. They get wet inside and fail. I don't know where to find the thing on your engine. There's been several threads about them on here, the last I saw talked about reverting to old push pull bowden cable technology.

Assuming it's based on the Yam, when the engine is up, try the inside of your Port Clamp bracket. right at the top. You may see a cable coming out through a hole to the outside of the clamp & up to the Engine tray. You're looking for a plastic thing with a small lever held on with 2 screws. If it's siezed, plastic thing with half a lever.......
Option 2 is follow the wires up from the PT motor. There's a high chance they will join the sender connections for the rest of the trip to the remotes plug.

mine seems to be a solid state thing on the starboard side, like a mercury.
any thoughts?
