For tiling, I find notched is best. Steel gets a smooth finish on concrete, if you want a rough non-slip, try a urethane float. Etecs are rubbish, they weigh too much & the gobbo sticks to the cowls, plus at upto 15 grand a throw, a tad extravagant methinks.

A short shaft Seagull gives a nice texture to Artex and is easier on the arm.

I have a Marshalltown 11" bricky, might try it behind the dinghy.

In my experience with Ficht motors it doesn't matter if you go fast or slow, the end result is the same.....*bangclatterclatterclatter*

Some amusing reposts none the less gentlemen

I'd suggest to the op, it will be fine for a good while,... just give it the guns on the way home to burn off any oiling it will be fine mind you if you got shagged plugs to start with.. life might not be so easy, but you'd know that with dodgy starting etc

I thought that was Optis

I had a 175 FICHT on the previous boat, no problems, use the proper FICHT oil or XD100 though to keep the carbon down.

I don't know much about the FICHTs, but long term low speed is also a good excuse to get the aux out & give it some exersise!

I've been on here for about 10 months - getting information on here is a bit like gold mining - you have to go thro' tons of rock to get a solitary nugget but its worth it in the end!

Very good. There's an abundance of Iron Pyrites too, so take care

Sometimes you've just got to kiss a few frogs
It could be worse, humor (sic) is strictly frowned upon on the sceptic run Etec forum, god forbid if JimH catches you enjoying yourself. It can be good sport though if a little too easy sometimes
