tuning a tohatsu 5 hp

I have a 2.3m inflatable floor tender with a 5hp tohatsu 2stroke. Is it possible to tune this the get a higher power out put. or is there anything else that ca be done to in crease performance. So far my max speed has been 16.4 knots.

not with the 2stroke, the you could probably get 5hp from the 4hp (same engine). The 5hp 4 stroke is the same as their 6hp, so you could probably tune that one.

I think that 16.4knts is a very good speed for a 2.3m inflatable anyway.

I'd try playing around with the engine height and possibly a coarser pitch prop. Good luck!
