Value of 20HP Yamaha 2 stroke??

Searched the history but struggling to find an answer...

Could someone please give me an approx value of the above engine, 2003-2004 (so approx 12 years old) in good condition?

Many thanks

Stuart

Stuart

"Good condition" I'd guess around £1350

I'm sure more educated estimates will correct me 🙄

I'd say the broad range for a modern 20hp 2-stroke in clean running order is £800-£1500.

Their value is related to the ever popular 15hp 2-stroke where a minter late model this time of year might make £1250. The 20hp with its extra weight isn't automatically worth more in the SIB market where the 10hp-20hp motors tend to sell.

So I'd say either side of £1250 depending what the buyer on the day thinks.

If you are looking at selling it away from an outfit value it at £1000 to allow for seller fees and a hard bargaining buyer then see if the outfit still looks value.

If for insurance purposes put it in at £1500 to give some haggle room if a claim ever needed.

Hi Stuart I wouldn't hang about on a least going to view the earlier discussed rig out.
Judging by the photos you might miss out on a proper bargain.

Yamaha were knocking these out for £1200 net to dealer not all that long ago!

I'd say £800-1000ish. They are not a patch on the bombproof origin 20/25. Probably why they weren't really sold outside Europe.
