Water from gear case

I’m not sure I like the look of that. Only from one side whilst running on the hose. I shifted in and out of gear and it had a significantly noisier clunk too.

Any ideas? Gt

It’s normal, it’s the engine mountings, they’re water cooled & lubricated. Water should be coming from both sides.

Thank you. So In that case should I worry about other dry side or is it likely just the result of 0.5psi on hose.

It’s always iffy diagnosing water issues using the muffs, but the supply to the mountings is after the water pump. The hose supply pressure shouldn’t matter as long as you have the volume. It may be that the water channel to the mounting is blocked. Is the tell tale strong?

Tell tale is minimal on hose. Great in the water. But on hose a rarely see more than 0.5psi. In the water I get about 13psi at idle. Never run it long on hose as a consequence.

Probably be better to use flush port. But I’ve never fully understood if it works engine off or if it keeps water pump wet with engine on.
