Water/fuel filter with or without clear bowl

Hi,
I have an aftermarket spin on water/fuel separation filter ( Easterner) without the clear bowl where you can see it collecting water on my Yamaha 40hp 2 stroke.
1. Are the spin on threads on these 10 micron canister filters all the same so that I can buy another make of filter with a clear bowl?
2. Is it worthwhile replacing my existing type of consisted filter with a canister filter and attached bowl or am I over thinking this.
Thanks

Most are pretty standard so if it looks about right online etc then chances are it will fit. And yes; very worthwhile fitting one with a clear bowl so you can instantly see any debit and/or water in there.

Have changed them annually on another rib just because never sure of water content that maybe in filter.
I appreciate the replies and I think I will upgrade to filter with clear bowl at base.
