Water pump part number: where to look?

I've recently bought a Mariner 60hp efi second hand. Advice suggests changing the water pump is a good idea and having looked at the videos online I reckon I could have a crack at it myself and save some money.

Question: where do I look on the engine to figure out the right part to purchase?

Cheers,

Nick

+1 with the engine number....
There are a few online parts list "microfiche" - bookmarked at home and will post back later with the link to the one I used when I rebuilt the Clamshell...

If you are in even more of a hurry, based on your location both Mitchells In Renfrew, Yampower in Shettleston, Clyde Outboard Services (Port G) & there's an outboard shop in Fairlie as well.... one of them should be able to help!

FYI- the only thing that can go wrong with this simple diy can be overted by taking a pic of the old impeller when it’s still in the housing.
I can’t tell how many times I wish I did just to confirm I didn’t get it reversed.
