Water seperator/filter help

I like the idea of having some sort of extra filtration on the fuel and the plan is to possibly install an inboard tank so I think the extra filtration might be even more justified.

I have a couple of questions though...

1. Our engine will run off a 2 stroke premix, will the filter element not restrict some of the oil in the mix causing the engine to run a little lean on oil?

2. Will it put more stress on a diaphram fuel pump as there is more resistance to pull the fuel through.

I wouldnt like to fit one and find its damaging or stressing elements of the engine.

TIA

1/no but as a safety precausion check the colour of the spark plug
2/no you could always do a fuel pressure check on the out side of the fuel pump
