What model TinyTach for Tohatsu 50hp?
Hi guys,
I have just bought a brand new Ceasar Thundercat with a new Tohatsu 50hp 2stroke carb 3cylinder
I want to install a tacho so I know what RPM i'm running at. Can anyone recommend me what model TinyTach I need, since it's a 3 cylinder?
Here's the link to the models available: http://www.tinytach.com/tinytach/gasoline.php#
Or is there a better solution out there?

All new Tohatsu 50s are supplied with a rev tacho i think, certainly both the Tohatsoooos that I have bought were. Is it a engine running hrs clock that you are looking for????

No, just an RPM gauge
I won't be running any steering controls etc, this is a tiller engine. Are you getting mixed up?

Do you really need one? I would have thought the engine has a rev limiter - just use your ears!!!

I found the UK distributor:
http://www.tinytachuk.com/
Very helpful when I e-mailed him to ask which the correct Tinytach for my engine was.

If buying a Tiny Tach you have to specify the engine Nº of Cylinders, if it's a 2 or 4 stroke engine & type of engine application. There is a nice model that reads rpm when the engine is on and counts total running hours for maintenance purposes when engine is off, it's a double purpose tiny tach, very useful and very fast and friendly to install because of the spark plug induction method used + ground.
Happy Boating
