Got rid of my 90 Mariner and got a proper engine. It looks the dogs bits and sounds even better,go's like something smelly off a shovel, and it's better on fuel. What more could you ask for?? Go buy a FICHT

Well, im not to keen on electronic computers managing stuff, good old carb is easy to fix, and you can take the whole machine to bits as all the parts have a function, and you know what they do.. rather than a big "brain" in the machine which you can't look at yourself.. with a bunch of cables going everywhere and you have no clue what they do, or how to fix them!

and EWWWWWWWW at the colour of the water there!
p.s. nice clean boat!

Yes I give it milk everynight Phil, and it still keeps puuuuurrrrrrring. I would like to see a carb stripped down when out to sea if it broke down. The main reason I got rid of the Mariner is because of the problem they have with the gear boxs letting in water,I had mine however for 12 months without a problem. They had five in at my local boatyard all doing the same thing,I did'nt won't to wait for the problem to happen.Just plug the Ficht onto the computer and if there is a problem you'll find it without all the guess work.Doesn't really matter which engine you've got when it's not running, you want get anywhere.
