Yachtline 340DLX 4 Blade Prop
Hi everyone - I spent some of the winter refurbishing a Zodiac YACHTLINE 340. It’s now a lovely boat re-powered with a 30 Merc EFI. The outboard came with a 10 3\8 x 8 pitch 3 blade prop. Hole shot was good but the thing was slow and hit redline at 20mph and could easily over rev.
I did much reading and review of reviews and picked up a Merc Spitfire 9.3 x 11 4 blade prop. My goodness, it’s so much better suited to this boat! Hole shot still very strong and top speed much better at lower revs! Great combo for this setup.
Anyone with a similar rig, don’t hesitate if you’re so-so on your current prop.
