Yam 115HP 2-stroke

I think I'm about to buy a RIB with a 1999 Yamaha 115HP 2-stroke outboard. We'll only be using the boat for summer fun, but is there anything (unpleasant) I need to know about these engines?

Thanks

I remember the sweet sound and crisp acceleration of my 2 stroke Yam. Ah happy days.

Now i have a Honda civic engine under the plastic hood to bore my arse off. 

I had one from new and regret ever letting it go as they are a great engine, but they do love fuel-having said that they all do

I'm used to poor petrol consumption as I also drive a Caterham 7. I see the RIB as the boating equivalent
