More chance of finding a Yamaha 40V than über rare 50G model. Fantastic engines, even in manual start guise.

You have a pm.

Thanks for your help Spartacus.. the new yam is a manual trim,, but what a rare find.. ideally like a post 2000 model leccy trim and tilt and leccy start.. would look at the 40 hp model also.. its for the SR4, single up 33 knots kindly indicated with fingers by whisper which is a good return for a 40.

It's a bit of a barn find right enough. I used to have a Yamaha 40hp (manual tilt and trim) on my Zodiac Pro. Great engine, and absolutely mint for 1995. Did a bit of detective work on it - turns out it was a grey import 6H4/5 model originally owned by the Princess Motor Yacht Company. Wonder if it had been on a tender driven by Omar Sharif!
