Great engine, what do you want to know?

Being an old-skool 2-stroke it drinks fuel like certian members of this forum drink beer (but mentioning no names!)

yam 130

the boat is 6.5m it would be used a lot, i think it would be better to consider a 150 optimax for fuel economy, do you recon?

Abslolutely

Go for Opti (or Ficht/HPDI) every time. Particularly if you are going to use it a lot. Fuel consumption SO much better unless you cane it all the time. Been their done that bought the large quantities of petrol!

I agree, the 150 opti is far, far superior if budget will allow.

130 is enough power for a 6.5m boat though, and the Yam 130 v4 is tried and tested for about 20 years so reliability is second to none.

Are we talking new or 2nd hand here Lee?
