Yamaha 4hp 4st Jet Clean

Hi Panel,

Engine will only run with choke out.

Have removed the large jet in the float chamber (was coated in brown gunk)

There is a smaller jet above this larger one.

Do I just unscrew it? Clean it and screw it back in?

Or is it at a preset depth? And need to measure it's position?

Any other tips?

The fuel in the remote tank is only 9 months old. Do I not use it?

Is it worth filtering it? Or use it in the car?

Up Date 31/05.

Removed second jet, it was blocked, used carb cleaner and copper wire to clear it.

Now starts and runs fine.

What is this brown stuff in the fuel?
