Yamaha 50 GETOL

Hi,

I'm the owner of a outboard engine Yamaha 50hp GETOL 2 stroke autolube and i am asking if you could help me to date that motor.
It's very difficult because the number plate has been pulled out and only stay the inside serial number close to the cylinder, so no more letter for the year.
My serial number is 501256.
I would appreciate if someone could help me to date the engine, maybe by comparing its number with others from known years?
