Yamaha 60fet 2 stroke.

Hi I recently acquired a 60fet as spares for my 50 deto but the leg and gearbox look different and the hood is different. Anyone know what this engine shares parts with? Is it the 75 85 90hp or is it a stand alone model?

When the 3cyl range was introduced in 84, Initially the 3cyl Yamaha 40 and 50 were the same, 60 and the 70 were the same, and the 80/90 were the same (as were the earlier 75 and 85 which had low comp heads, and were aimed more at commercial sector)

In mid 90's Yamaha then released the 50g in Europe which was a detuned 60/70hp instead of the smaller block 50 which came before.

Nothing on your 60f will fit a 50d. Sell it to someone who has a 50G/60/70hp.
