Yamaha 70 2 stroke (2000)

The above is fitted with a rev counter and sits on the tail of a Medline 480 by Zodiac. The same gauge also acts as the oil warning system and trim gauge.

Once on the plane, what rev band shoud I keep within, below and what, if know is the engines rev limit ?

I've chased Yam' on this subject but have found them lax in their enthusiasum to reply.

Thanks,

I have this engine and it's a beauty.

I generally try to keep around 4.6k - 4.9K when on the plane and start to feel sorry for the engine around 5.2k (sounds great though!)
