How "gone"?

You may find by taking the lid off the motor all you need is a new set of brushes and / or brush springs........

I'm kind of assumming the relay(s) click when you hit the switch, just no motor action. If not, maybe relay or switch gubbed? Again assuming you've checked all the connections......

Is it a 3 ram unit? They were remarkably widley used 50-90 Hp and all in between for a while.

If it's any help, I have a set of clamps & swivel / tiller assy off a 70 (PT unit already sold I'm afraid) should you find a PT that won't fit yours.

You could try http://www.outboard-services.com/

They're based on the Isle of Man. He has a early 2000 (Yamaha 90hp 2-stroke) for sale with new instruments. He's also breaking a 115hp 2-stroke, not sure if the trim and tilt from that would swap over?

Try the relay for the power trim and make sure you are getting power through it before condemning the PTT unit.
These sometimes have a habit of burning out on the Yam motors this size (or at least mine caused problems now and again and required cleaning and sorting)

Apologies for taking this off topic - but there's Yamaha 90hp decals on Fleabay. Looks like the genuine article. Must admit - I've never seen genuine decals before for sale - probably dealer only part. Worth buying if you're planning to respray the cowl if it's looking tired. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Yamaha-90hp-ou...item439f87573f
