Yamaha Diagnostic cable

I have a 2012 115hp Yamaha on my RIB. I have bought a diagnostic cable with the YDS 1.33 software. The software is "supposed" to work with engines upto 2012.

However the cable connector on the engine is not the same as that supplied with the kit.

I have put photograph of the engine connector below.

Can anyone offer any advice on this issue?

Still cannot upload photographs.

Basically the supplied cable has 3 pins arranged in a triangle. The engine has 3 pins but arranged in a straight line.

Any help appreciated.

I bought one of these cables from a welsh seller recently and mine is also triangle layout ,i have had no trouble plugging it into my 2011 115 (under the fuse cover on the front left of engine ),removing a mating half with a link wire fitted ,however i have never managed to get it to work yet as my laptop says cant find sensor , maybe thats why !

Ok, sorted. Despite my "certainty" I had found the connector, I hadn't!

With the hints given by Orwell Boy I managed to locate the proper connector on port side front, tucked into the bottom shroud.

All is well. Managed to download gobs of engine data.

Orwell Boy, I am more than happy to help you to get connected if I can. Feel free to message me.

Thanks to all

Ian.
