Yamaha engine wet spark

Hi guys, I am new to this website, but need to ask you expert guys about my engine.

I have a 1993 2 stroke Yamaha 60 autolube. It starts fine, idles fine, revs fine, and RPM goes high and no problem at all.

I just noticed it is burning more fuel than normal and smelled unburnt fuel. So I checked for a leak and no leak.

Checked all spark plugs and the bottom plug was wet BUT very clean! I have spark (the electric wire gives a good shock!) so not sure why the spark plug is wet...

Can you help me please?

Incidentally, run it in some fresh water very very soon-it MAY be your lower crank seal gone-the very clean spark plug is a symptom of this-and you really don't want salt water in your engine.

Let me explain better, I did try a new spark plug.

The spark plug is wet but not watery wet, it smells of petrol. I am 100% sure it is petrol as I did put an old spark plug and after 30seconds it had become all clear and clean!

Is there a spark at the new plug? Does that cylinder have compression?
