Yamaha Hydradrive oil change?

Has anyone done an oil change on one of these? I don't need the manual just instructions from some one that's done it please.

I just pour mine in from the top and leave it to settle. Done me right and you won't strip the plug

Aha, yes I've just found the drain plug (neatly camouflaged by Yamaha!), so I'm guessing that it just needs warming up, draining out and topping up with the same amount from the bottom up!

Many thanks for getting back.

Make sure you let it settle long enough or you may find air gets trapped in the lower unit. To remove the rear cover to service the filter you need to pull the top cap off so it makes pouring the oil in easy

As Ken said you can trap bubbles so I should have mentioned that I spin the prop a few times while settling, every 5 - 10 mins. Go have a coffee and its fine

Hydra drive

Dear all, thanks for taking the time to reply, I was bone as I didn’t see the drain plug! I can now tackle an oil change armed with your tips.
I’ve got the yam me 420 sti manual but there’s nothing about the hydra drive leg in there, hence the request for info.
Anyway, next good weather weekend, full oil/filter change on both the engine and leg. 😁🤙

Remember the oil and fuel filters come from a toyota landcruiser no need to pay the yamaha "premium"
