I think the manual is available online to Yamaha agents so quite difficult to get hold of a paper copy. I got a copy printed from BHG years ago, Davie here on the forum will have access to it & might print you a copy if his printer is up to it but its many pages long so a bit of a pita to do.

You probably know the base engine is a toyota landcruiser so if its engine specific data you need then an engine manual for a landcruiser HDJ 80series will give torque setting and other engine data or the Yanmar 6lp 260hp is the same base engine I think the 6lp engine manual is available for free download

Thank you for the info, I downloaded the 6lp manual and from what I can see theres quite a bit difference between them - 24v compared to 12v, although the bottom end does looks v similar.

If anyone has a copy please let know

If you Google Toyota RM172e Manual, you will get a few links to a PDF of the Land Cruiser engine repair manual which covers the 12V.

If you read the 6lp manual carefully it covers both 12 & 24V engines the 12v is the 6lp dte and the 24v is 6lp ste you will find repair specs for both in the manual but they are lumped together you you need to find the references to each individual engine
The head is the only difference everything below the headgasket is identical hence you will only see reference to the 260hp dte in the head repair section

Thank you, I didn't realise it covered both..

Any idea what stock boost pressure is for one of these? And how boost pressure is controlled as mine is the later 421sti which doesn't have a pressure controlling valve like the 420sti..

Still looking for a 421sti manual if anyone has one..

Hi Gareth
Did you get hold of one. If so was it electronically sent? Would love a copy if that’s possible.
