Yamaha outboard 30hp 2 stroke autolube

Hi guys ,

I'm running a 30hp autolube Yamaha 1999. I'm looking at changing the throttle cables because they aren't really long enough and are fairly stiff. I've got the 703 control box , and I've had a look online but not sure I fully get what cables I need!!

Does anyone know if the cables are specific to the engine / control box, or are they generic cables? If so any idea where I'd get them. I've some info that suggests they might be "33c teleflex cables" - does that sound right? If so can I just buy the cables and they will fit in to the box and the engine?

Thanks in advance!!

Yes the cables are "standard" and the end fittings will unscrew from the old ones to reuse. There are different qualities of cable which are more expensive but do move easier.

They also have the length written on them, so you can order up the exact same ones.
