I have a yamaha me420sti sterndrive single prop but im not quite happy with the prop i have on it. 14-1/4x19 express from Turning point . The problem is that when im reversing it feels like nothing happening the boat use a long time to stop and it allso feels slow out of wather feels like the prop just spinning. Engin rpm is wot 3860 and I was thinking of getting a prop with 1 or 2 inch larger diameter.
Is there anybody knowing where I can get a prop bigger then 14-1/4 diameter Turning point dont make larger, and is there anybody know if the boat will be faster out of water and stop faster when reversing.
There is allso wentholes in the back of the prop blades ,could this have anything to do with my problems.
them is vent holes, plug them, you can get plugs for them, thay vent exhaust gases to the prop so she can spin up, but low end s%cks, i'd try that first,
plugs are cheaper than a new wheel.
