Yanmar 6LP

Does anyone know the internal diameter of the three raw water hoses that go (1) from the raw water pump to the fuel cooler, (2) from there to the power steering cooler, and then (3) from there to the main intercooler? I'm assuming they are the same - but cant take them off at the mo to measure them.

The first one split in a fairly major way last Saturday (at WOT) - so need to replace that, and thought I should probably do the other two while I'm at it...

I'm also wondering whether to go OEM or whether to look at silicon hoses, as they've been suggested as a good alternative. Any thoughts?

Dunno, but I think I have a 6LP manual at the workshop, I'll have a look tomorrow.

I've used silicone hoses to replace several engine hoses on my 6lps and they've worked fine so far
I'd imagine the problem you will have is that hoses you need are not just straight forward elbows but moulded shaped hoses
But possibly when you get the price of yanmar original ones you might think it worth the effort to make them fit .I think they are 50mm ish but couldn't swear so safer to measure
They sometimes fit different sizes at each end of the hose too so need to measure each end

There's a seller on Ebay does lots of variations of hoses even different diameters each end they tend to be quite flexible so you may be able to manipulate them to fit
I'd imagine genuine yanmar will make your eyes water
