Zodiac 115 hp Inboard

Hello
My sister moved away and left me her 1996 Zodiac 115 hp Inboard
420 originally used by the police. Engine needs cylinder cover #0318333 which is no longer available.
Boat is in great shape so it's a shame not to get this boat on the water.
I've been recommended to convert the boat to an outboard but don't really want
to. The boat has Johnnson/Evinrude motor OMC but someone said that it's
the same motor as a Yamaha WaveRaider. Anyone got this part?

Welcome to the forum.

Got any pictures? 115hp inboard on a 420, that can't be 4.20m is it? I know Zodiac built projets with inboard engines including Yamaha powered units, but that was up to 80hp.

Regards part, according to boats.net it is obsolete, but there are a few used examples up for sale, such as here: Johnson Evinrude 90 HP 0318333 318333 Cylinder Head Cover Good and Useable | eBay

Or here Johnson/Evinrude, BPR 0318333, Cylinder Head Cover Johnson/Evinrude, BPR 0318333, Cylinder Head Cover Price: $24.95 [Johnson/Evinrude, BPR 0318333, C] - $24.95 : Ship Wreck Salvage, Used and New Freshwater Boat Parts

Not sure about gasket, but you could probably get one made or search forums for compatible parts. This could work: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Johnson-Evin...f130a6&vxp=mtr

I guess there weren't too many made, but I even measured the length myself. It's 14' 3" long from end to end or 4.2 meters. I'm looking forward to getting it on the water. A local marine mechanic has a cylinder head I think fits so hopefully after assembly everything works. I'll get pictures made and post them.

I think that's a good call Spartacus, it must be a Projet. I would be interested to know the model year, as I think the latest Projets do now have a 115hp engine however they are Yamaha rather than OMC.

Pictures are what will solve this!
