£385 new EM TRAK AIS transponder from US?

Hi there

This seems a good price - approx £385 delivered from the US:

EM TRAK MARINE ELECTRONICS B100 AIS Class B Transceiver at West Marine

Any comments on the unit itself for RIB use or experiences in buying from West Marine in the US for UK customers?

About the same price as a second-hand Comar CSB200 just went on Ebay

Many thanks

Steve

I've just fitted a Digital Yacht AIT2000 which you can pick up in the uk for about £400. Very similar to the Em Trak and no 2 week wait for delivery.

Hi Erin

Thanks for that - would prefer to buy from the UK so please let me know (or PM from others) a good supplier at that price.

I also wondered if you could be stung for import duty from the US supplier?

Steve
